Customers are rightly suspicious of branding.\u00a0 It smells of self-absorption, marketing for marketing\u2019s sake and begs the question \u201cso what was broke?\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 Well, we don\u2019t accept any of these charges.\u00a0 We are really pleased with our new branding.<\/p>\n
First of all a brand is not a graphic or a font.\u00a0 A brand is the collective experience of our customers.\u00a0 Of great products and great workouts, phones being answered promptly and vans in front of your house at the right time.\u00a0 And problems getting fixed.\u00a0 And that\u2019s a brand we are already really proud to present to the world.<\/p>\n
Secondly, we needed to do a big piece of work on the site in any case.\u00a0 We needed our site to work seamlessly across devices.\u00a0 PC, mobile, tablet.\u00a0\u00a0 Our old site was pretty hard work if you weren\u2019t on a PC or lap-top.\u00a0 And now it\u2019s as good as anyone\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Thirdly, we were conscious that our site looked a little dated and this was impacting new customers\u2019 perceptions.\u00a0 We are cheap.\u00a0 But that\u2019s no reason to look cheap.<\/p>\n
Fourthly, there was a genuine branding<\/em> issue.\u00a0 You may have heard it yourselves on social media.\u00a0 There are people out there who cannot discriminate ourselves from MyPr*tein.\u00a0 People think we are the same company.\u00a0 And we are so different in so many ways that we cannot risk any further brand contamination.<\/p>\n The last point is the most important.\u00a0 We are so competitive.<\/em>\u00a0 And we could not bear not having the best website!<\/p>\n So what did we do?\u00a0 We went down to the gym.\u00a0 We spent hours with people literally dripping their sweat onto our designs.\u00a0 And we kept going back until we had something that looked right.\u00a0 And once we got to that point we got the designers in.\u00a0 But it\u2019s fundamentally your design.<\/p>\n You may find this completely irrelevant.\u00a0 We hope not.\u00a0 We think you\u2019ll like the new designs, the new branding element.<\/p>\n Because we, like you, think detail matters.<\/p>\n Customers are rightly suspicious of branding.
