It sounds like a retailer who is really getting behind his prices and setting out the stall as the price leader. So why doesn\u2019t <a title=\"BulkPowders.co.uk\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bulk.com\/uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BulkPowders.co.uk<\/a> do this?<\/p>\n<p>First of all, who do you associate with price matches? \u00a0Funnily enough, John Lewis and their \u201cnever knowingly undersold\u201d claim.\u00a0 We <em>know<\/em> they are never the cheapest.\u00a0 But because the brand carries so much goodwill, and because they will actually action any claim reasonably efficiently they can just about get away with it.\u00a0 The problem comes when less reputable brands make the promise.\u00a0 You just know it\u2019s going to be a major challenge getting the promise fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>The second big issue is always \u201clike for like\u201d.\u00a0 There are many low specification options that simply aren\u2019t up to the standard of high quality <a title=\"Whey Protein\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bulk.com\/uk\/protein\/whey-protein.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">whey protein<\/a>\u2026 and we only sell the highest quality versions.\u00a0 But that is not always clear to price sensitive shoppers.<\/p>\n<p>But the point that really counts for us is that it\u2019s plain bad manners not to make your best offer up front.\u00a0 It puts the onus onto the customer to go looking around all the other sports supplements suppliers.\u00a0 It wastes everybody\u2019s time.\u00a0 And it leaves everyone with a bad taste in their mouth.\u00a0 It\u2019s like telling your girlfriend \u201cI\u2019m really great in bed but if you find someone better I\u2019ll raise my game\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t think \u201ccheapest UK prices except where we aren\u2019t\u201d is a great boast to make.\u00a0 We are much more comfortable with \u201ccheapest UK prices\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 And we hope you are, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A price match promise sounds quite customer friendly, when you first look at it.
