It is said that a serving of Matcha green tea powder is equivalent to 10 cups of green tea and with this recipe we are going to enjoy all its properties in the form of a delicious and nutritious cake.

Protein-rich Matcha Tea sponge cake recipe

Matcha Tea is a  popular alternative to ordinary green tea , since with matcha tea, the whole leaf is  consumed . In addition, it contains abundant proteins : 29 g per 100 g. It is also rich in theanine,  its content is five times that of ordinary tea and antioxidants , 137 more green than normal tea. As you can see, its properties are not lacking and today we are going to take it in the form of a protein cake . We start the recipe!

preparation:

1- In a bowl or container, we will mix the dry ingredients :

  • Protein
  • Matcha green tea
  • Yeast
  • Peanut meal

We remove everything and mix it well, with a small stirrer of rods or with a spoon.
Once everything is mixed, we toss the two eggs , half a banana cut into cubes and a handful of crushed protein ball . We stir again , a paste will be formed, we must help with the milk so that everything is integrated well.

2- We put the oven to heat at maximum power .

3- In another bowl or container, pour the egg whites and beat them to the point of snow .

4- Now we mix the two masses, we put the first one in the second and we mix it by making enveloping movements , to avoid the whites falling .

5- We put it in the oven at 180º about 35-40 minutes (but that depends on each oven) you have to control why it rises . To know if it is ok, we stick a knife to the bottom and if it comes out clean it is ready!

6- Finally, we decorate the matcha cake with  hyperprotein chocolate balls  and banana slices.
